Synopsis
 

Andy is in trouble. Downsized from his job, his marriage in crisis, he looks to a mysterious young woman for salvation. But when his wife becomes seriously ill, Andy must make a choice: care for an estranged wife, or run away with a woman he knows little about. A haunting tale of sex, secrets and the second chances.

Message from the Director

Apple is a play not just about real cancer, but also a story about how cancerous our lives can become. It reveals to us how we can be diseased with selfishness. We are presented with three people who are very much in need of healing. Andy, Lyn, and Sam seek for love and the search moves them apart from the lives to which they are accustomed, but closer to each other and, consequently, their true selves as well. The play provides us with an opportunity to recognize the power and promise that lies within a second chance, but also how dangerous it can be to always believe you’ll get one.
